Slickhorn Ranch was born when Austin Post partnered with Matt Garff, a fourth-generation farmer and cattleman. Today, the founding team is made up of dedicated individuals with expertise in farming, ranching, genetics, flavoring, logistics and operations. When legacy, know-how, and energy come together, the result is pure fire.

Genetics matter when it comes to beef. We invest in top-marbling bulls, premium embryos, and curated bloodlines and raise them on 600,000+ acres of range in the Northern Rockies. All so you get the best beef.

Hand-Cut by Master Butchers

First, all our beef is washed with USDA-approved apple cider vinegar instead of a standard chemical wash. Then, our two types of beef are uniquely hand processed for distinct flavors.

Fullblood Wagyu

Our Wagyu has pure, traceable Japanese lineage for a difference you taste in about three seconds. It grades higher than Prime, and the Diamond system measures IMF higher than 20% to more than 40%. To preserve the delicate flavor and creaminess, Wagyu is not dry aged.

USDA Prime and Choice grade beef is dry aged in a temperature and moisture-controlled environment for 28 days, maximizing rich flavor and melty tenderness without any "funk” from longer aging.
