Slickhorn Ranch was born when Austin Post partnered with Matt Garff, a fourth-generation farmer and cattleman. Today, the founding team is made up of dedicated individuals with expertise in farming, ranching, genetics, flavoring, logistics and operations. Genetics matter when it comes to beef. We invest in top-marbling bulls, premium embryos, and curated bloodlines and raise them on 600,000+ acres of range in the Northern Rockies. All so you get the best beef.
Hand-Cut by Master Butchers
First, all our beef is washed with USDA-approved apple cider vinegar instead of a standard chemical wash. Then, our two types of beef are uniquely hand processed for distinct flavors.

Fullblood Wagyu
Our Wagyu has pure, traceable Japanese lineage for a difference you taste in about three seconds. It grades higher than Prime, and the Diamond system measures IMF higher than 20% to more than 40%. To preserve the delicate flavor and creaminess, Wagyu is not dry aged.
28-Day Dry-Aged Beef
USDA Prime and Choice grade beef is dry aged in a temperature and moisture-controlled environment for 28 days, maximizing rich flavor and melty tenderness without any "funk” from longer aging.
